Cure for cats on the counter?

All these posts remind me of my two when they were kittens.
In the "back room" I had duct tape set for a counter I didn't want them on.
around midnight I heard a god aweful roucus then *BANG* SLAM*BANG*
THREE blurs (black, orange, and white) came bounding through the cat door, round the dresser, over the bed, and out the other cat door into the living room.
I could hear running, skidding, a hop, a crash then *BANG* SLAM*BANG* back in the bedroom, over the bed, round the dresser and *BANG* SLAM*BANG* out the cat door to the back room again.

Still I could hear them running a jumping all over *BANG* SLAM*BANG* back through to the living room.

By then my curiosity is peaked.
I said to my wife, "Hey, we still only have two cats right?" I get the one eye from the blanket, "*muff nomer" I didn't want to translate...

I got out of bed and waited by the door. *BANG* SLAM*BANG* there they were, I flipped on the light.
And there they were...Ricky, the black one, was in the lead followed closley by Lucy, the orange one, with a strip of duct tape on her tail and a plastic bag stuck to the other end!

In a slpit second the sequence of events ran through my mind. I lost all control and was rolling on the floor. The wife gave me the one eye.
I cought lucy and releived her of her Monster, then it took almost twenty minutes to explane it to my wife.

Lucy jumped on the counter and got the duct tape on her. Rolling around she fell in the recycle box and got it stuck on a plastic bag. Then she took off. Ricky saw all the action and took off the other direction. Lucy was running from the sack monster, Ricky was running from Lucy.
