Cure for cats on the counter?

I use tea tree oil on some tissue paper,or right on the counter(door in my case).

My cats are limited to a bedroom/laundry room. However they have learned they can pull on the door to get out if someone did not close the door properly. So I do the foil and tea tree oil to keep them away from the door. Not 100% but it does help.

I love my cats, but I have my tolerance limits.I need to build them an outdoor cat run where they can go crazy.

i didn't read all the posts so I don't know if anyone else wrote this but I used to put mouse traps inside a brown paper bag to keep my german shepherd off the couch.

Try cooking them in a sweet and sour sauce. You only have to do it once and they will never get on a counter again.

But! Ya gotta admit that would solve the problem. Or another simple solution is a boot out the door so they can do what cats should do, catch mice and such.

True but if that's the end result you want , why worry about foil etc....
