GM BYC Fam,
So im missing my best boys today. I had a flock of 4 that were all slaughtered by coyotes when my dad left the gate open (accidentally) overnight a few years ago. Needless to say, i still am unsure as to the breed of these wonderful chickens. I had two boys two girls, i know thats not a great ratio, but my boys were very docile and friendly and the second one was very submissive. He acted as another hen in the flock and did not breed the two females.
Anyways. Ive attached pics of the beauts. The males were very large. Heavy and meaty--about 10lbs or so fully grown, and very widebodied. Ive had chicken and non chicken people tell me they are some of the largest chickens they have ever seen. So maybe that will help. No feathers on feet, whatsoever.
The breeder (on craigslist) told me they are Buff Orpingtons, i got them as day olds, and then they got redder as they got older. But i dont think theyre red enough to be rhodies??? Idk. Ive considered they might be cross breeds, as well. TBH i am wondering if i can track down the breeder again and show her pictures and say "i want these again"
Thank you!!!
