Today we saw :The Lady in the Van" - the story of a homeless woman (Maggie Smith) living temporarily in her van in the driveway of a playwright in London. Maggie Smith is awesome - exactly how old is that lady? Based loosely on a true story it is an interesting study of human nature. Not a movie for everyone, but quirky enough that we rate it a 3.

I haven't seen those. I've seen four of Pure Flix's movies; God's Not Dead (very well done), The Book of Ruth: Journey in Faith (low budget but entertaining, and pretty faithful to the biblical account of Ruth), What If (not a Bible film but entertaining), and The Book of Esther (fairly entertaining, but not very accurate to the Biblical account of Esther). Although not perfect, a much better done movie and more Biblically accurate account centered on the story of Esther is One Night With the King.

"God's Not Dead" was a wonderful movie! Has anyone here seen "Do You Believe?"? My parents and sister saw and enjoyed it. I'd have to say that my favorite Christian movie that's not based on a Bible story is, "Fireproof". I loved the story, and the casting for it was phenomenal.
