(And really anything with Don Knotts in it too! Oh and I fully admit my bias for this stuff too. Fair enough?)
Oh wow. No wonder I haven't seen those. They're old AF lol. The only Don Knott's film I've seen was The Incredible Mr. Limpet. It was long but I loved it. Oh I wish...I wish I were a fish...

I saw a pair of not recent films last week. (The thread title invites reviews of recent films but I don't think DD will mind.)

One was The Souvenir and the other was The Souvenir Part 2.

Really interesting filmmaking with very little plot but lots of opportunities for the audience to be involved in thinking through what was happening. Beautifully framed shots with some of the action off screen. Not great if you just want to veg out or be told a story. These are definitely films for people who thrive on a challenge.

Thumbs up!

I have not been to a movie for that long too!
There's a lot of good stuff playing right now. We rarely went before the pandemic because it's just too expensive. But our anniversary was last weekend so we thought we'd treat ourselves to a movie experience. Plus...dinos on the big screen is the best way to watch them

Jurassic World: Dominion

3 out of 5 stars

The movie was entertaining enough. Lots of action and some cute scenes with dinosaurs but it seemed like they got lost in the story. Like it was two separate movies and they had to squeeze everybody in. I did enjoy how fitting a certain character met his maker. Lots and lots of nostalgic scenes and a dino fight for seemingly no reason but good fun. I liked the message but it felt forced
