So peep scared me to death today. Got up during the night to check on her. Have her separated from Nibbler for now and in a make shift pen with paper towels and a blanket under her rather than hay
Well I go to check on her and she is eating but her white feathers are now dark red. Looks like she is covered in blood. I start panicking and pick her up. Her foot looks fine. Cut is closed and not bleeding so I check her out looking for other cuts I may have missed
Then I notice her water dish.
Peep occasionally likes to step into the water dish and lay down and go to sleep in the water. Which she apparently did while her foot was still bleeding a bit. So her white feathers are now all stained by the red water
Friggin duck is going to give me a heart attack heh
On the plus side the cut seemed to have closed finally. Bled for a long time last night
