I'm going to assume that when you guys are saying barred roo your talking about a barred rock rooster? Haven't learned the lingo yet.
I was just going to start a post to ask if you could cross black cochins and barred rocks. Didn't know if the eggs would be to big for the cochins or not. But I thought the black cochins/barred would make a neat combo. Plus it is what I have ended up with.
I promise you that I'm not stupid but how do you pronounce Cochin. My father in law and mother in law tell me that I'm pronouncing it wrong even though the only chickens they've had was RIR and that was 15 yrs ago.
