Cuteness Overload! MINI TEACUP PIGS!!!

I don't know of anyone specific, but I have heard stories of people even underfeeding their pigs to keep the weight down so they can claim low weights.

They might do that to the parents but its easy to tell if they are but by no means should you ever listen to their opinion feeding. I seen on the news where someone starved a pig and had it taken from them and they said the breeder told them to feed only 1/4 a cup a day!!! In no way should you EVER feed a pig this tiny amount of food. If you see your pig is under weight looking feed it more it won't hurt the pig at all. underfeeding is NOT the key to a smaller weighted pig its activity and excersize that is the key NOT even a cat can live on 1/4 cup of food daily Heck thats almost like feeding a fish (Okay so a little less then 1/4 cup for a fish but depends on how many your feeding) If your pig is getting a little to big start getting balls or things to keep him/ her busy. If you come across a breeder that tells you to only feed it so little then back away never take a pig thats parents were underfed because of health issues can occur with it later in life. Parents don't look healthy don't take the piglet because thats what will happen unless your 100% prepared. It can be hard getting a miniature pig due to just people out to get money. I know of one woman who bought a FULL sized hog not knowing anybetter the person told her it was a miniature pig and she was to feed it 1/4 of a cup of feed and it'd stay small NO WAY and she keeps going ona and on like its a miniature but a hog is a hog feeding it less won't make it a miniature pig either it never was and never will be. Underfeeding won't make it weigh less if its naturally bred and ment to be 200 pounds it will be. Most breeds of miniature pigs should not be like the breed of miniature pig such as the pot bellied pig which naturally has flabby fat skin because of their history they are just bred that way. Breeds like the Juliana and the Miniature Mule Foot and Kune Kune should not have flabby fat skin hanging off they should be fit and tight skinned without a large pot gutted belly unless cross bred to the pot belly.

Pigs have very "adult" proportions even at a very early age. The pig in the photo does not look to me like it will even stay small. Something like that could easily grow to 150-200 pounds, so you better get a very BIG teacup and a very STURDY table and chairs to have a tea party with that thing when it grows up.

Agreed Onthespot! A experinced person that has been around pigs can tell those pigs in that ad are not going to be that small!

I'm sorry I tend to get fired up when I come across people using the phases Micro and Nano and Teacup!

I don't like "teacup" used in any breed, even dogs! There is NO SUCH THING as a tea-cup poodle. There are toy poodles (chihuahua, beagle, *insert breed name here*, etc) that happen to be smaller than the breed standard allows so people just decide to label them teacups like it's a whole recognized breed of dog. Drives me crazy! lol!

Carolinagirl58 I agree! I've never seen a adult Teacup poodle fit in a teacup either or a beagle or a chihuahua even. A big Mug for a Adult Chihuahua maybe not not a teacup.
