cutest chicken names!

Pics
we have 5 chicks.. all named after Shakespeare characters..

Hermia -- EE,
Cressida -- RIR,
Thaisa -- Light Brahma,
Nerissa -- Blue Andalusian,
Ophelia -- Speckled Sussex

I have two EE's ones name is Gwyneth, and the other one is Merrida. Then I have a RIR named blondee. And a turkey named Thelma :) I can't tell my other RIR apart so they don't have names just yet.

No chickens yet... Hubby's just now coming around to the idea. My best friend and I may do it together, keeping all the gals at her house....

It's been on my bucket list to have chickens since I was 4.

Camilla has to be one (from the Muppets; Gonzo's gal). If something happens to her we'll have to have a Camilla Mark II.

Hubby wants one to be called "Foghorn."

Daenarys. (My daughter's cat is Arya.)

Other ideas:
Cushing (I'm a big Hammer horror film fan)
Romana ("Dr. Who")
Mother Angelica (we're Catholic)
Hazel Cluck (after Hazel Court, Hammer actress)
Carole Lombock
Barbara Stanchick
Miss Kitty ("Gunsmoke." I love westerns.)
Ursula (le Guin and my old yoga teacher)
Mattie Ross (from "True Grit")
Ellen Ripley ("Alien")

Too bad we can't have roosters. I would have Simon Peck and Chick Frost, "Rooster" Cogburn, and Dexter Morgan.

Well my last group of chickens were all named after the ladies on the TV show LOST. We all know what happened to them. My girls all went to live on a farm in the mountain as their own heaven, without murderous "Others" and smoke monsters.

This time around, I went with something more classic, and being a huge Lord of the Rings fan I decided on Hobbit names. The little girls are all flowers and of course we all know Pippin was always getting in trouble but had almost golden hair and a lovely singing voice. I should have all Buff Orpintons, though it looks like I have two that are something else, and they snuck into my order. Will be interesting to watch them grow and see if the suit their cute last names.

I have 5 hens and a roo....

So I have in no certain order:
Hens
Camelia Cluck-Toork
Poppy Plumpbotton
Marigold Merryfoot
Lily Longfeathers
Buttercup Brandybawk

Rooster
Peregrine "Pippin" Proudfeather

Our two week old chicks names are: Miss Daisy - White Plymouth Rock, Lady Igraine and Lady Guinevere - Barred Plymouth Rock, Adelia and Claudia - Buff Orpington and Starbuck, Boomer and Zoe our Buckeye's.

We lost Miss Daisy's sister, Lucky the first day and Buckeye the Buckeye during shipping.

Well... i called mine Chocobo (off the Final Fantasy series)
But i prefer to call him Mr. Chocobo when he meets people in person.

My mom calls him Shing-a-ling though haha.
