This is my calico cochin bantam, Mango. She is about 1 1/2 years old. She is very sweet, and loves to be held and be near people. But, she can definitely hold her own against anyone trying to steal her treats!

This is Papaya, a calico frizzle cochin bantam. He is about 1 1/2 years old. Papaya is an absolute sweetheart. He loves to be cuddled, and he likes to sit on my lap. He always makes a big deal of himself, and prances around with his chest puffed up, but his ladies still mostly ignore him. He does do a great job of protecting them though!

Probably but I don't choose to free range at all. I even have a net over my run because of a couple hawks attacks that have happened. Also I don't have bantam cochins, only full sized ones.

So, does she look cochin or brahma?

She has most of the Cochin, the bright yellow feet (Also like the Brahma and RIR) with feathering, the light red coloring, the single comb, and the smaller size. But, she had the same black pattern on her tail as her father does, which couldn't have come from the red bantam Cochin side, so I think Brahma.

I also noticed that when comparing Yuzu's beak to her possible mother's beak (RIR), they look identical.

I don't free-range mine often, the flock has a huge fenced-in hen yard to roam around. But there is an exception if I am home and working in the yard, then I may let a couple of hens out to graze.

(During the summer this year, I put some temporary garden fencing up and made an enclosed area for them to graze in.)
