Very sad..

Oh, no! I think I'm going to cry now. A cute, innocent duckling. 
I lost one, too, this year. Waddles was almost a week old and a somewhat careless ten year old dropped her. Some strict rules were put in place after that!
Poor little Tom 

My husband dropped one of the babies the other day and i yelled at him!! But poor Tom got stuck between the fence and a box we had in the pen for all the babies (6) to sleep in and I didnt find him in time..

it was very heartbreaking. His brother or sister (Jerry) is the only survivor out of the entire group of hatchlings... my sister in law hatched a few ducklings and chicks and then went out of town and all her babies disappeared! We have no idea what happened to them. All the adult ducks and chickens were still in the pen...

Mine aren't babies either! I call them ducks now, not ducklings! My KC has almost all her feathers and the others have theirs coming in quick, too ... I have mixed emotions about this - they are growing up  , but they are getting pretty feathers e  and it's fun to watch them grow.
I love MoonMoon's markings. How come you get all the unique ducks?  pout, pout, pout ....    I still want a magpie; maybe, just maybe, it will have eyebrows? Oh, well, mine are - er, used to be, adorable! Now they're pretty ducks instead of adorable ducklings.   


 Good description! I can't think of words to describe ducklings this cute ... there should be a duckling dictionary!!!

I agree so fun to watch them grow! You get big squishable ducks to kiss. (And they smell way better!)
I'm lucky I guess, but my fawn and white runner duckling has no fawn so..... But she has three crests! XD I laugh everytime I look at her!
My black runner has a perfect crest. She is perfect!

DAWWW. LOOK AT HOW CRAZY CUTE SHE IS. She is adorable and she knows it!! She is having so much fun splishywebzing around in her widdle bathtub.
