I think releasing them so close to backyard flock is plain stupid. I would have a lot of nice furs if someone did that here.

I think so to, they did it where a lot of loud and big trucks drive by. When they would breed I swear there would be a bunch of babies dead on the road. We also have a big population of bobcats up in the back of my woods, they'd hunt the young and the adults killing a lot of them, (Bobcats killing the minx/fishers)

I lost around 30 this past summer to a Fox. Nearly broke my heart. It was a bad year here overall.

A fox once tried to take 2 of my muscovies, it failed badly leaving minor scars on them...

Same here.
2 or 3 birds lost spring 2018
30+ birds lost in summer 2018
4ish birds lost fall/winter 2018

And nearly every single 2018 chick bought or hatched died before 3 months old. It was the worst year by far. Nearly got me out of the hobby.

2018 SUCKED and I would be happy to completely forget the entire year sometime soon, when it came to things involving my birds.

2015 sucked for me, 4 of my ducks died and 8 of my chickens... they were my only chickens at the time.

Old hen, love your avatar - can never get enough of Snoopy. Have a clock I got at Bed, Bath, & Beyond and the theme song plays on the hour. If the sensor reads it is dark in the room it stays silent - so doesn't wake anyone up. BB& B has closed several stores and am pretty sure all are closing.

James is a huge help to everyone. He needs a special badge for that. James I'm sure you can cook more. The Hamburger Helper stuff is easy enough for me to make it. Then I combine it with instant mashed potatoes, and frozen beans with almonds.

A friend came over and laughed. But she couldn't even boil an egg. Hah!!

Need help with sexing, bought 1 Cockerel silkie and 3 pullets from TSC. Breeds, buff orp, Asian black, SLW. Asian black is obvious Cockerel but the other 3 not to sure
