Head over to "What breed or gender is this." Silkies are one of the most difficult breeds to sex before 4-5 mos., and some say Polish as well. The other breeds most of the experts can determine by 8 weeks or so.

PS posting good, clear photos that show the birds head/comb, and standing side profile will make their evaluation more accurate.

Need help with sexing, bought 1 Cockerel silkie and 3 pullets from TSC. Breeds, buff orp, Asian black, SLW. Asian black is obvious Cockerel but the other 3 not to sure

The Asian Black looks more like a Black Copper Maran pullet to me. I need to see her legs.
I see no obvious cockerels, except the Silkie.

Polish are sexable at hatch based on their crest shape.
Silkies are actually pretty decent to sex, it isn't that hard once you know what to look for. I've seldem incorrectly sexed a Silkie. I can think of only 1 instance where I did.

Got some.. and if you dont mind I have a 6th month old bantam Cockerel mix I bought 2 month ago so i could get fertile eggs from him, he also is very good at protecting the flock despite how small he is. I know he is mixed with red Cochin but their is 2-3 more breeds in him.. I think he might have a type of game bantam in him, if you have any guesses that'd be great.

Yeah, the chick in question does look a lot like a BCM Pullet.

Thank you, are they suppose to be that big? Seems as big as 6 month old bantams..

Now I've been looking at different threads and they mature super fast.. I saw a picture of one at 3 weeks with a big red comb already
