Hehe welp that's the great thing about life, no two are the same and we all got our own experiences! Also I just melted at the "shoulder chicken" bit. <3
Also, guess what? I just caught the first glimpse of this lil' baby's duck tongue! It yawned in the shell and I saw its teeny tiny widdle tongue! It's so CUTE!
The shoulder chicken thing works best with bantams. Full size birds like Puffers get carried once they are too big for a shoulder, but they don't seem to mind either way. Puffers got her name for 2 reasons: 1)She was a late hatcher & the rest of her brood had been sold the night before she hatched so she spent the first 4 weeks of her life in a box in my daughter's room with a bath poof as a companion, and 2) She has the puffiest cheeks you have ever seen, even as a baby the puffs were huge.
Puffers is a cute name. I think chickens are cool and I have traveled all over the world and anytime I see one I take pictures of them. And they are just domestic birds like all of yours. My avatar is a South African pet rooster that I met when I was there a few years ago. Whatever the shape of our particular birds, they are our loves and offer us so much pleasure. My daughter always says, "Puffers isn't a chicken, she's a people...just ask her!" That hen definitely thinks she is a person...lol
I actually did make a choice. I sold off all of my ducks & only have 1 pair of geese left. The geese are looking for a home too.
Yep, we love chick & turkey tv around here. Ducklings are ador
adorable when they get the zoomies & take off at top speed just to run in circles. Even more adorable when they do it in swim mode in the sink or bathtub.
