My chickens are sitting on the first call eggs of the season, soon I'll have brand new mid winter fluffy butts.

That is awesome. Please show us pictures when the lil fluffy butts are out and about. Tell your chickens you appreciate their work warming the eggs.

there will absolutely be pictures once they hatch but got about ten days to go yet on the first one and another week and a bit after that for the second one I have Austrolorps and silkies so I've always got a hen that is happy to sit on eggs if I let a nest full build up.

As an aside the cute yellow fluffy butt in my avatar is heading off for the Royal Brisbane show next week along with nine of his siblings in various call categories so there will be updates forthcoming on that too

A lot of our shows have been canceled this year because of the avian flu outbreaks.
