The pools are cement mixing tubs from HD or Lowes, pens are 34" wide by 69" long and aprox 4-5 foot high. Hope this helps

Hi there. I know the question wasn't addressed to me, but I have pens something like that(a bit larger) for some of my Call ducks. I just moved my ducks into the giant community pen until breeding season starts. I think a lot of people only use these during breeding season and keep them in larger pens, otherwise. It's also a good idea to give their feet a break from the wire. I use that flooring that goes together like puzzle pieces in my wire bottom cages so they have a place to lay/walk without being on wire. It hoses off really easily, too.

I also do let my Calls out under supervision to roam around for a few hours every couple of days.

Thanks so much for that info. I think I saw the "puzzle flooring" in the FarmTek catalog. I do love the pens but didn't think my ducks would be happy in them all the time. They do love to grub around in the dirt.

We have a community flight pen that they get to be crazy in that has a pool and two black tubs in it. We are seeding and landscaping it, so not everyone is able to be in it right now. Thanks for tip on the foam flooring. SAMs club sellsnit and we have a bunch stored. Will be putting it to use this year.

I don't free range the calls ever. Too many hawks here to risk it. They do get trays of sod laid in the pens. They destroy it over a few days, but it's fun for them too. This week they are all getting locked up thanks to a hurricane on it's way. So Thursday, or maybe Wednesday night, everyone gets put into buildings so they stay safe during the storm. The breeding pens also get flipped on their tops so they don't get blown over.

Cute-check, Cuddly-check. Yep, I posted this in the right place.
I maintain that this is the cutest, cuddliest Call ever.

FL Chickens, In your 4th. pic your birds look exactly like my little guys. Do you think the ones with the green bills are males? Thats what i've noticed antway. What colour would you say your calls in pic #4 are? Can't tell in the pic but do they have the blue green on their wings? Thanks Angie.
Here's a couple of pics.

Here's mom and dad in the front. Only the one in front of mom and dad is their baby, the other ones in the pic are different family.

How much has your micro grown east? she is a beauty

She has grown just a bit, Miss Lydia, but is still really tiny. She's also VERY spoiled and NOW has a boyfriend.
She has hated all of the other ducks we've tried to put with her and seemed to prefer just us. That was before Optimus Prime(spring hatch White Call drake).
We think it's true love.
