In opposition to what was once considered a Universal Truth, researchers at Hudson University have finally discovered an eternal motion machine. It is known as The Buttered Cat Engine.
Two proven scientific facts were combined to lead to this discovery.
a) A piece of buttered bread dropped to the floor will always land on the treated side.
b) A cat will always land on it's feet.
Researchers taped a piece of buttered toast to a cat's back. When the cat was dropped, instead of falling to the floor it began to spin in the air.
Further research showed that the bread was not necessary that it was possible to simply spread butter on the cat's back.
A housecat as able to produce about 2 KWH of electricity. Negotiations are ongoing with the Audubon Zoo to borrow a tiger.
