Dagoo the Duck now resides with her forebears in duck valhalla

Hi,

Some sad news to report - Dagoo, who had been ill with an injured vertebrae and nerve damage, had to be put to sleep today. She tried hard through treatment, but in the last week stopped eating and lost too much weight. She died calmly and peacefully at home with the gracious help of the local vet.

She was an excellent duck and a great little friend who, along with her sister, lit up the garden, happily messed up the pond, butted heads with the chickens, chased after the cats, and pounced on diced tomato like a lion on a gazelle.

She went far too soon and will be sorely, sorely missed.

My condolences on the loss of Dagoo. She was a lovely girl and it sounds like she was a big personality.

She was lucky to have someone who cared enough about her to do what was best for her, and to be able to pass surrounded by loved ones. I think you'll see her again someday at the Rainbow Bridge.
