Muhahaha! You go boy! Do your ducks use the nesting boxes?

When they were outside... no. Now that they are inside nearly all eggs that are laid before the door opens are in the boxes. After the door opens they lay them wherever. I expect it to get more random as the door opens earlier.

So when the boxes were outside the ducks did not use them. Now that the boxes are inside the ducks do? But you are expecting that to taper off as the ducks go out earlier? Did I get it right?

Yup. The boxes are the best place in the house to lay! Under the porch steps, along the fence, in a tall grass nest, in the middle of the yard or in a kiddie pool are great places outside... better than nesting boxes

okay gentila had to show off Tevye's egg yesterday

so I go out and find the first goose egg of the year, along with 2 duck eggs and some chicken eggs. well about fell over when i came across one of my EE's eggs. Poor girls may need some stitches left to right, Goose, EE then Duck

I felt I should check everyone bottom after I found it, These girls are 3 yrs old I've never seen an egg that big from one of them and i have 7. I hope it was a fluke. lol
