Come on down...we'd love to have you. The great state of Alabama is also a FANTASTIC place to live. I grew up here, moved away for a while due to work, but hubby and I have finally come back for good this time. We have our little two acres of heaven and it's wonderful!

The most fun I have had with my hens was the day I brought them a box of nightcrawlers. I have never laughed so hard. Much better than a rugby match.

They also love to fight over tomatoes, apples and watermelon. My roo would go from rind to rind drinking the watermelon juice that pooled up in the middle.

I made a dandelion tea for dandelion jelly a few weeks ago and for some reason, when I strained out the tea, I pressed the leftover petals into discs through my coffee strainer and froze the "dandelion cakes." I pull out one a day, still frozen, and my chickens nearly kill each other over them. They really don't act like they like me all that much (save maybe two out of the thirty) unless...of course.... they think I have some sort of treat. :/

You should visit Savannah. It is a beautiful city. The first fort in the state was built by a Scottish regiment. The Scottish played a large part in settling the state. General McIntosh's son was a Creek indian chief.
