d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

Here are some of my birds

Blue silver quail pullet

Quail, bluequail and blue silver quail pen( can you find the two single combs?)

Lavender quail

Blue quail

Silver quail

Kentucky Crainium Fungus ( a mutated strain of the Kentucky Leg Fungus)

We are all surviving here thank goodness...

JJ...here are the male versions of those beautiful little crosses

This is Raven...he is the result of a Mille d'Anver over the lavender cochin hen
This is my beautiful boy Beau...he is the result of a porcelain d'Anver over a lavender cochin hen
They are absolutely the most wonderful little boys...the feathers are much softer on the legs and feet than the d'Uccle feathering.
I am going to keep raising them and see what happens down the line...I have 2 pair of the Lavender and a pair of the black splits plus now a little black split boy named Batman that is adorable.
Glad to hear things are going OK. And I kinda like the black one.

I like the blue silver quail and the lavender quail! Very cool!

That is hilarious in a freakish sort of way.

Silkies! No Way is right. Pyncheons!!!

It's not so much the pouf as it is those freaky feathers. You know I had three marvelous hens with modified and dignified mini-poufs whose daddy was a Silkie/Cochin cross. Their BR side tamed that down, though, thankfully. Best little hens ever.

OMG JJ you are a meanie. Very very bad. I am shocked at you both. *Snicker*

Oh and it is dammmmned hot outside. My poor babies ate as miserable as I am.
