JJ, I Googled "white quail d'Anver" and didn't find anything but either quail or white. it sounds gorgeous, though.

Take a little bit to figure out unless you read german but click on the tab that says Bildgalerie, then on the button that says the same thing on the left. and you are looking for weiss-wachtelbarbig. Soon as you see how it works you will be looking at all the colors.

OMG, OMG!! Baby Em came up on my lap first thing this morning, snuggled down into the rowboat position all comfy-- then suddenly stretched out his neck and made a sound like

a party favor!!

He did it twice! Then at noontime, he came up for his noon lap-nap, snuggled into my hand, and again he became a party favor!

He only does this in my lap!

Aubery, Isn't the khaki pair gorgeous! The pullet is as pretty as the rooster! I feel SO lucky to have gotten not only one, but two of them!!

I have a question for you . . why do you consider the Dun quail chick to be "barred" and not cuckoo? I love the look of that chick! I think the golden face really compliments the Dun color. Can I make more by breeding her to the khaki rooster?

techinally it is cuckoo. I just say barred on here cause it's self explanitory, some people arent sure what you mean by cuckoo.

they are pretty much the same, barred it just sharper crisper lines, where cuckoo is bolder less clear lines

Something stole 3 of my babies while I was fishing my quail dun quail pullets and a cuckoo Roo I am going to have to order some more

So, for my other questions . . what colors will I get if I breed the Dun Cuckoo Quail pullet to my Khaki Quail rooster? And should I not use my buff Columbian rooster for breeding since he has three leaders on his comb?
