d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

Well with this weather I'm doing all I can about the water. I don't have electricity in the coop. I've been taking it down there several times a day.

He's still acting fine digging around in the shavings in the cage.

I've been dipping it out of the creek with a bucket, but its been so hold the creek had ice on it so thick I couldn't break it with the bucket.

Karen your little one is a cute thing. I understand about the waterers....I am battling it big time...my horse trough is 100 gallons of ice! We have three more days coming of temps in the negatives and I am scared....I have a couple birds and a duck that are not looking good. Doing all I can but I need this nonsense to stop.

Junebug loved her sweater.....I will be doing the straps soon so she will be able to wear it tomorrow during the first of the three low days..

I was saying that Angus, who died a year or so ago, was not as friendly as Spike is. Spike is the friendly one, Rusty2 is mean like the first Rusty I had. Rufus, Angus, Aubrey and Rusty were the first four D'Anver males I had. of those, I only have Aubrey. Spike is his son. This Rusty2 is probably Aubrey's son. I rehomed the original Rusty, Angus died and Rufus fell in love with some crazy woman in KY and went to live with her.

I had that wrong, I thought it was Rusty that went to live with the "Crazy Woman"
