d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

This is your lucky day. I just sent you a pm. Ran is game of trying to tame the beast known as Rusty2.

Ha! He's a brave man, your Randy! Hehe, now, tell him that Rusty2 does not come with a bullwhip.

Actually, he's really no worse than any other banty rooster with Little Big Man Syndrome. I've just gotten spoiled by the mama's boys in my LF roosters and first by Angus, and even worse, by Spike, who protects me from Rusty when he can.

This is my archnemesis he tries to chase my feet. Little difference in him at 30+ lbs and Rusty. Lol Then again I don't guess I can kick or hit Rusty with a pitch fork handle.

Yes, my Randy likes challenges....

Of course in this weather, a lavender bubble bath would work--he'd freeze stiff and that would be all she wrote for Rusty2, lol.

The last two were not viable. So we have six chicks with one probably not staying. She is getting her hobbled legs underneath her more, but the leg is turned at the hock, making her walk on the inside of her foot. If she did learn to walk, we could probably work with that, but it's not usually good practice to keep around birds with those issues. We'll see what happens by the end of the day.

Been dragging.... the palest one looks to be a porcelain. I'm on this phone though , hard to tell if his dark parts are blue or not. If so he's porcelain . Looks like some pretty chicks though . Will be glad to fire back up the bators here soon.

Karen just picked up her chicks and she took Rusty2 and two pullets for him. Hopefully, she will post pictures of the babies as they grow and we'll see what it is. I'm fairly sure the lighter one is porcelain and then the next lightest is just a very light mille. One does have feathers on the legs, though. Missed that when I took it out of the bator, I guess. The rest of the five are clean legged.
