Aubrey . . Are blue mottled an accepted color? I tried looking it up, but I just found that it said "mottled" without specifying color.

Haha no way. There isnt but about 8 or 10 blue mottled birds in the US. And never seen any from over seas. I started them and the dun mottled about 3 years ago. Aaron Johns got a few from me back then and is the only other person i know of with any.

The standard mottled are just plain ol black mottled, and theres not a whole lot of those.

I had a feeling just black mottled was an accepted color. Too bad since the blues are so pretty! Love my blue mottled rooster from your eggs. I have a test hatch that is 3 days along out of my blue mottled rooster over dun mottled, blue/split to mottled and black mottled hens. Very excited to see what I get!

Yeah youll get black mottled from some of those that can be shown. The black and blue averages out at about 1/2 of each. On the blue to dun, you can get 4. Blue, dun, black, and platinum.
