I'm in awww of all the great pics on here...what NICE kids! I really admire this breed, and the d'uccle as well. Working on more pens right now, but I'm definately looking forward to getting my D'anver program going again! It's a sickness, I know

Yep, It's defiantly and addiction, Started with just the quail, like everybody does, then found out they come in other colors, so it was on then, Up to 17 now, and thanks to RAREROO, and others who have helped me learn a little more about genetics, I plan to start work this spring on making several new colors, blueing up some of the ones I have, and doing some lavender crossing as well.

As for eggs and chicks, RAREROO's right, we sell both, no limit or minimum on eggs, we do ask that you do a minimum of 20 chicks for shipping due to the needed heat, chick pick ups there is no minimum. We ship eggs Priority, and chicks are mandatory Express (our rule, not the postal systems), due to the much faster arrival, they tend to do much better for you, and it's only about $20 more anyway, covers the box, straw liner, 72 hour heat pack, shipping and $100 insurance...Only had to use the insurance once , and yep, they honored it!
Anyway, pm away, and we can work out the details . Like I said, I am planning on a lot of genetic work with them for new colors this spring, and we never have enough of them seems like to start with, so let me know what you all may want and I'll be glad to put you on the list, BYC members get first dibs on them anyway....

Thanks
Glad you all like them, Lord knows I do!!

man im so jealous my wife is not set agents bantam she just doesnt see the "point"
she understands dual purpose and meat birds but bantams she just doesnt understand
she want to put a cap on how many of them my son and i get.

BBB i love your birds i cant wait to order some eggs from you

im really bummed now i just found out the guy i was going to get quail danvers from sold all his bantam stock a few weeks ago
his wife had a stroke in October and he just cant do the birds and the rest of the farm too hes been breeding danvers and Japanese bantams for close to 20years

d'Anvers are such a awsome breed! I've only ever owned one but I still love em! I owned a quail cock(he was the second chicken I ever owned), he had such a spunky personality!

But he died a while back:hit:hit:hit But luckly I got some eggs from a hen that had been in the same pen with, and his son hatched out of the one eggs! heres a few pics of both of them.

I hate to hear that for the ol guy, as for your wife, tell her they are largely for ornamental purposes, with good stock, you can pay your years feed bill off with the money off hatching eggs. That's what I do, and what ever's left at the end of the year, goes into buying more!! LOL

PrinceSandwich,
I hate to hear you lost you boy, he was a very nice looking guy, funny he had the wrong style comb, but his son was more correct comb wise, do you know what he was crossed too? Cool pattern that came of of it reguardless.... Hope you get some more someday, we need all the d'anver keepers we can get around here!

Got you on the list there L&S
I'll have to see how my year goes to see which way I want to go, I definatly would like to get a few of you silver eggs to go with mine, just to break up the blood a little, stay in touch and I'll pm you when they all start laying. I have a huge project in the works for them this year to try to create a bunch of new colors, so may have some of them tied up with that, but I am sure I can get the ones you wanted pretty easily. I only have a trio of the Dun at the moment, so those may just be a few at the time to keep them fresh for you... The others, I have plenty in
