d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

Went out and got some pics of my Dun Quails. Aubrey, I would love to get a critique on what you think of their looks. I did not get a closeup of Carmines comb but seems to be of nice shape so far. He is a bit slow to mature and just started crowing a few days ago. The girls seem to have real nice beards and muffs but they differ in color and wonder if there is a preferred shade. Emily is my fave and she seems to have a greyish beard.

for their age so far, you cant beat those. They are looking awesome. Great beards, color, type , everything, though I may be a little bius

The males to mature a little slower than the pullets do, that's pretty much the norm for d'anvers

Cant get over how full those pullets beards have turned out, seems like just yesterday I shipped them to you.

Color looks about perfect on them. With dun birds, the chocolate areas lighten up threw out the feather period too, by the time they molt, they are usually a cream color.
The sun just works on that color for some reason, kinda like my cameo peafowl.

The dun bearded one looks great to me, I only have 1 hen like that (most likely her mother) and she's may favorite by far, best over all tyep and color.

looking good to me so far, even the boy

combs do like good to from what I can see of them.

I am so happy with my Dun Quail and I really love their quality also. They are just amazing and I really love them lots. I am hoping to get some nice babies from them at some point.
