d'anver lovers,discuss the breed and post some pics!

Aimee just had one of her own chicks hatch underneath her. I had to put a divider between the two broodies because Penny immediately was reaching over to try to steal the cheeping baby before it was even out of the shell good, LOL.
 
White Orpington chicks are grey, white and yellow, so they could still be white. It depends on the breed.

I just had some chicks hatch from bought eggs that are meant to be white. All 3 so far are cream with grey heads,wings and grey tail. My last batch that had one white chick in, that chick was yellow all over, so what on earth are these chicks colour?

post some pics of them if you get a chance. Would like to see them.

D'anver chicks for white are usually just that, snow white, not yellow

But depending on what the recessive white is covering, you can at times get off colored chicks that turn out white as they mature. I have a few that do something very similar sounding to what you described. Need to see one to be sure though, the cream is kinda throwing me a bit. But they can have a grey cast at times in some lines.
