1) (Darcy type) Either Debbie or maybe Marcy

2) (Darcy type) un named resesive white gene

3) (Light Sussex) Dahlia she is so loyal and always wants to be near me, even jumping full force into the side of the brooder to get to me!

4) (Buff Piemonte) Daffodil, she isn't as tame but still follows me. She hates being touched!

They are growing a lot, and I'm starting to see some really interesting feather colors! I e never seen colors like theses! I will get some photos!

Here they are! The Piemonte chick might actually be a weird Herry and Susan cross!

Dahlia!

A Piemonte chick definitely shouldn't have feathers like these!

Debbie is getting some nice shiny black feathers!

The resesive chick is getting some really interesting feathers!

And I'm wondering if this one will look like Fluffbum? She isn't getting much Sussex like feathers, really only her white color!

Here is the other chick that didn't survive during lockdown. Also none of quail eggs hatched sadly. I'm also selling my incubator and I have a buyer who doesn't have a rooster so they asked me if I do and if they could have a dozen eggs! It was fully developed but for whatever reason never pipped. Any ideas on why?View attachment 3649395

They do that sometimes, when they just run out of energy.

Well they are all getting HUGE and I'm very happy that they are old enough to jump out the coop and into my lap to nap!

thanks, i still have two chicks left and they are a pure bred sussex pair!!! Dahlia is the surviving rooster and his sister is the surviving hen! i need a new name for dahlia

Definitely Dahlia needs a new name he's a light Sussex? What's his sister's name?
