Dark Egg Breeds Thread

My pene's sleep in the trees have not been able to coop them. They come up to you then run. Not very friendly. They act like they want to be though. I have a wheaten boy that does the same thing, except he prefers the Amerucanna's instead of the pene girls, and sleeps in there own little coop and not in the trees. Winter time should be interesting.

Well, in humans it is the ankle. The part of the foot between the metatarsus and the leg. So I am guessing the same here.

I guess they must mean gray legs like the ER birds have. Although it sure does seem to me that the white-pink leg color is a dominant trait.

They sleep in the trees? Wow, they must be good fliers. But, when it starts snowing, are they going to freeze their tail feathers off? Maybe you should build a tree house for them!

I'll bet BrkSpgs could build you a tree house. If he lived in Ohio...

Hey maybe you can corn-train them. I taught some of my birds that run around and won't let me pick them up with cooked corn. I buy big bags of the frozen corn and nuke it so it's just a little warm. They go crazy for it. Whenever they see me with a paper plate they come running from every corner and stand at my feet looking up at me. I have to be careful not to step on them.
