That's what Lily does too. she doesn't brood in her boxes much, though- she prefers to nest near the front (she almost falls out when I open the big door) or near the pop door so she can snap at anybody who comes in to lay an egg. She also broods on the roost. I guess her anti-broody breeding has made her a bit confused.
