Predators are a big concern for us. We live in the middle of the woods, where there are all
kinds of things lurking around. So far, tho, nothing has come close, except for squirrels, and I don't think they are a threat. Our pen is inside a fenced in yard, which I hope helps. Now that our little Bantam boys are outdoors, I'm a little more concerned for them.

I hope you're having a wonderful day, so far.... it's beautiful here... a nice, cool breeze and 63 degrees @ 857a.m.... our girls are singing the song of their people... the boys are watching them and preening, lol.... Dawg, I hope you are finding new plates to help with your burning issue... we used Corelle plates years ago, but I've never used them in the microwave... I worry that most anything will get hot, to a point... wait, tho... let me rethink that... we do have some plastic kids plates that don't get hot... so, plastic, microwave safe plates might be worth a look? good luck!

Mostly a threat to the feed. And perhaps a vector for diseases. I really don't know on that part though.

So far, knock on , nothing has invaded the food. We have a large black snake that lives out here and I've seen no mice. I know the snake will go after eggs, but, so far so good. He mostly stays down below in our garage area.
