At most stores here a soda is close to $3 nowThere was a time when candy bars were a nickel and so were coca colas out of those old fashioned red vending machines. Then one day the price went up to 6¢. Then not long after that to a dime. And now they must be $2. Hamburger was 29¢ a pound instead of $4.29 a pound. When will it stop? When we lose the dollar as the world's currency of choice. I really doubt it will ever stop. People in power don't care about us that aren't filthy rich as long as they are getting their pockets lined. Excuse the rant but I get wound up tight after having seen what has happened over the last 70+ years to this land of working people.
