the first thing I was told by an old-timer hatcher was to throw away the instructions that came with my incubator LOL
what day are you? I say it is never too late to switch over. once you understand the process, it will make sense. humidity (adding water) is slowing or increasing the rate that the egg evaporates (loses weight/loses water). so, you can still lower the humidity to make up for your high humidity. you would make it lose more weight to make up for having not evaporated (as much). does that make sense?
