Day 19 and I am waiting with baited breath!

I'm so very sad!! Tonight we left to go to my son's play. Zap, our one and only survivor chick, was fine and peeping away when we left to go. We got back at 11 pm and found her dead in the brooder. Temps were fine, she'd been eating and drinking, not to much stressers in her wee little life. I don't know what happened!!!

I realllllly wanted a white frizzle and the only one I had didn't make it....

Oh Lisa, I am so sorry. :aww I have one little frizzle that hatched...its about 4 days old now...but not nearly as lively as the RIR that hatched same day.

both the parents are black,,,this one is going to be white!??

Not sure how THAT happened. Are you going to try to set more? I have 2 frizzles shareing a nest right now, setting on about 20 eggs. Not sure if they will hatch, or even what I will get. If you was closer, I would say, come on down after they hatch, I will need to get rid of a few...10 or so.

I have been enjoying this thread, also. Sure sorry you aren't having better luck. But, you two are going to worry yourself into being sick, if you aren't careful.

I have decided....enough is enough for the bator....well, for now.

I have 2 frizzles setting on about 20 eggs, and a RIR/mix that just yesterday..decided she wanted to go broody. Im not sure how many she has under her tho...she is a not so nice bird at the moment.

Here is a pic of 4 of the 5...the other one is in the hospital pen...not doing so well.

This is the little frizzle....hatched from a black mom and dad!??

They are 6 days old now, and doing great so far!
