Day 20

Only two babies. One we had to help out, another hatched just fine, and a third pipped but died in the shell? I have eight eggs left. Not one pip on those. Any advice?

Patience! It's only day 20. Chicks sometimes pip on day 20 but don't hatch til day 21 when they are suppose to!

Well, I just now candled them and they were all dead in shell.

I got 2 out of 12. What is wrong with me?? Can someone point me to clear, precise intructions, please? It must be me.

Question, if yesterday was day 20 why did you open the bator and candle the eggs on day 21? How did you know they were all dead?


I've never candled eggs incubating til day 24 or 25 if in the bator.

I have no patience. I candled one and it was dead, so I candled the rest. Blah Mostly my eggs seem to hatch on day 18-19. This has happened before. Any advice?

Okay, what temp? I have it at 99' F. Is that not right? Ugh, I am so bad at this. This is my last hatch. DH is going to try another without me touching it. I swear, I'm cursed! I suck so bad at this.

Im going through the same thing today. 2 hatched 8 to go but no peeps no pips. Just waiting. Today is day 21 for me. Sorry for your loss!

To be completely honest I think they were possibly fine but you might have opened them too early......they might have hatched

I candled mine at day 18 just before lock down and their movements are almost impossible to see as it is so densely packed in there.
