Well, you know what I do when it gets to be very late, but sometimes you wish you hadn't helped and sometimes you're so glad you did. Hard to make the call. Awhile back we just decided from now on to pip small holes in the aircells by the beginning of Day 22 to see if they're alive and breathing rather than just wait, but it can be tricky sometimes.
IMO, if you are really concerned, hold the egg to your ear and see if you can hear a heartbeat, or tap lightly, and see if she answers you.
Those Suede/Caroline eggs sure are tough!
