Day 25 Is it dead or should I keep waiting?

I know someone whose been trying to hatch chicks with no luck. I visited him on day 23 and asked if I could have the one egg he hadn't tossed yet. I set up a temporary incubator in the bathroom as it's the only place I can get enough heat and humidity at the moment. There is no movement from the chick and it looks too small for day 25. I'm new to this but I feel like the veins are decent and I almost wonder if it started incubating late or something (my friend is still learning how to use his incubator). The main thing that stands out to me is that there seems to be a strange floaty film inside that lags behind when I turn the egg while candeling. I tried a float test yesterday and I'm pretty sure it passed so I'm incubating just in case.

Looks dead for day 25, by now the whole egg should be black. so sorry

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but it should not take any chicken 25 days to hatch. Good luck but I would move on if it were me, no offence intended of course. Merry Christmas!

That’s okay, thanks everyone. I’m expecting my own hatching eggs to be delivered soon and getting the temperature and humidity just right was good practice for those even if this one was likely dead when I brought it home.
