Hi all. This is my first time incubating duck eggs. They are Indian runners. Its day 28 .. they were all moving and progressing when candles at day 25. Iv just candled and 2 have internally pipped but the other 4 haven't. I can hear chirping.
Iv set the temperature at 37.2 since day 25 and increased humidity with a wet cloth (I cant measure the humidity) but there is plenty of condensation.
I'm so invested in these ducks ... have the other 4 potentially died? How long from internally pipping to external does it take? The air sacs look fairly large on all - approx 1/4 is this right?

If you can see movement in them they are still alive, eggs can take a day or so longer than normal sometimes, id give it 2 days and if they haven't internally pipped id probably give up, internal to external pipping i want to say can take up to 48 hours? It might be 24 sorry I've only hatched ducks once and it was months ago I'm just responding cause nobody else has, also I suggest not candling the ones with internal pips the light can scare them to retract back in the egg

Thank you. I was hesitant candling however saw no progress and read about internal pipping. Guess its just a waiting game

One has just pipped externally how exciting! I can definatly see 3 eggs moving.
