I have never seen this before in any of my hatches. It’s day 8 so I’m doing my weigh in and marking air sacks. Well I noticed no veins near the air sack. So I moved my light around and I can see veins in the yolk area, and movement. So the chick is still alive however any movement of the egg and the yolk/chick and just floating around with it! What happened? Can I do anything? Can this chick still survive?? Is it complete ‘bed rest’ for this egg from here on?

I can't say as I've seen anything quite the same but have seen some that I thought didn't look the same as the others, yet looked alive. I put a question mark on any like that and I candle again at lockdown and see if it made it that far. Most times they do. There isn't anything different I've ever done but just mark them and put them back in with the rest.

Best wishes for a successful hatch!!
