day old chick keeps flipping on her back or gasping for air... help!!!

I have had great success treating star gazing using a vitamin b complex made for cattle. In two of the three cases the chicks were 100% normal within two hours of getting 0.1 ml of the complex. In the third, a duckling, it took two treatments.

The type of wry neck (star gazing) was caused by a thiamine deficiency:

She can breathe normal for the most part but every now and then will just start to gasp...

If it is defect, it could simply be a minor one. Also possible she got fluid in her lungs during hatch, which can also cause problems like that.

Did you show her the water and dip her beak yet? She actually doesn't look too bad at all..

She’s getting a fair bit better. I’ve dipped her beak in yes but she wasn’t overly interested. She’s also sneezing a bit as well.

She’s getting a fair bit better. I’ve dipped her beak in yes but she wasn’t overly interested. She’s also sneezing a bit as well.

I'd stop handling her and leave her with the others so they bond...They will teach it to drink and eat.

If she did aspirate fluids there isn't much you can you. The avian respiratory system is complicated, it's not just lungs, it's air sac and lungs.

Yes she is eating just fine, and I’m pretty sure it’s not wry neck as well. So just leave her and hope it gets better?

Yes....Leave her to either get better or pass but she will definitely be fine with the others ...
