day old chick keeps flipping on her back or gasping for air... help!!!

Hi there! I recently had a hen pass this week. She had aspirated alot of fluid. Unfortunately there really isn't anything to do when that happens. It's really sad. I'm not sure if that is what happened, but I agree with some of the others. As long as she is eating and drinking fine, I think she'll be ok. If she gets lethargic, that's when I would worry. Sending prayers! :highfive:

I would give her a couple of drops of poultry nutri-drench 2 times a day.
She looks pretty good. If she is eating, then she needs to be drinking. To me, she's not really gasping for air, it's more of an action I associate when a bird eats and probably needs a little water.

Nothing you can do about thw fluid in lungs. Though it can cause namonia or respiratory infection. My advice is to just keep an eye on her and let her do what shes gonna do for now, unless she starts showing any other odd symptoms.
