Day old chick with "butt issues" Please help!

I have a day old chick that I noticed had a wet butt, not pasty. I went to check it and noticed it was "leaking " a little fluid out of it and it was protruding. I applied a little pressure and it pooped and pooped and pooped! I thought this was the problem. Well now an hour later, his butt is soaking wet again and "leaking" . Any ideas?????

How is it doing? I had 5 hatch in the last 36 hours; no wet butts. I don't know the answer to your question, but I would think time and observation are your only choices right now. Did it get better within the last few hours?

Good luck with yours! No , it's no better :-(. I just went to clean it up again and this time it had very runny poop? Maybe it's just full of poop? Lol. It also has splayed leg that I am treating with a band aide brace. Maybe it's legs are preventing it from getting in the correct poop position? I don't know. The poor thing. The other 14 that hatched with it are healthy and fine.
