Jpat I sure wish we could begin to see some improvement in Bert. Poor guy just can’t get a break. How’s Mary doing? If he has sun burn you could rinse him in ACV it’s soothing.

Hey everyone thanks again for the help so far

Bert is doing okay, Hes gained back alot of balance and is atleast trying to preen. his feathers are all dirty broken and un oiled

Hes still eating alot and loves sleeping in the sun.

Oh and i switched from straw to pine shavings. What an improvement!!
Mary is mouthy and flighty but shes okay, Ita rubbing off on bert tho haha. Instead of greeting me jnow he hides in the corner

Bert is a fighter - fortunately he has Mary to cheer him on too!

He does look to be walking better and he looks more alert too. That's great do you think it's the coconut oil? combination of things? Maybe some extra protein for feathers like cat kibble fish based. or dried meal worms? Got to get those feather in tip top shape before winter.

Chickens might need something a little smaller to drink out of than the pool . My chickens do take a drink out of the pool but they are adults.Keepup the TLC with Bert!

Iam realy excited iam getting a new duckling tomorow, Its a 5 day old silver appleyard. Its a single duckling that someone has forsome reason and i felt bad so its coming home.

I quickly built a brooder i can keep in the house since hes alone i will keep him with us in the house

The wife doesnt know yet and shes gone for the weekend she has no idea and will be coming home to this

And as an update to the ducks and chickens sharing a run they ducks arw jelous of the chicken house haha. Their trying to take it over
