Keep a close eye on that temp. Your brooder is awesome. .but I'm a little bit concerned about the duckling not being able to get far enough away from the lamp if it gets too warm. I lost a single one this year and I am convinced it was because I let it get too warm. I placed the lamp lower than normal due to it being alone I thought it would be too cold. It seemed to like the warmth, but it kept getting pasty butt and I didn't really realise that until it passed away. I think it was from dehydrating being too warm under the lamp. Not trying to scare you. . just something to watch for. Usually they will move away from the heat when they're too warm, you only want about 85 in the warmest spot. And cooler areas they can get away from the heat.

I realised after my little one passed that it was actually more like 95 to 100 right under the lamp where it had been basking in the heat, I had put my thermometer against the side of the brood box and It was only reading 85. :(It didn't show signs of being hot either. I think because it was alone, it liked the warmth.
