DE (food grade?) good or bad

Lol I believe the original question was safety, was it not? ;)
You people are eating nothing but silica aka sand. DE (silica) goes in one end and out the other. You'd be better off taking Geritol or Fred Flintstone once a day vitamin tablets since either is easily absorbed in the digestive tract.
DE is useless when wet, just like the insides of your innards/ chickens innards as well.

My doctor knows all about it; nothing new there... The safety of food grade DE is just that; safe enough to eat. I wash my veggies AND eggs before eating but I know I'm not having to scrub off toxins, and that would make me feel SAFE. I don't take vitamins either, all essential nutrients can be found.d in a balanced diet. :)

As for the safety issue, have seen multiple articles from vets suggesting that is can be hazardous to the respiratory systems of birds.

My dog's breeder uses DE to deworm, and none of the pups leave with worms, though they are born with them. :/

Maybe she's been lucky with it for 32 years, then.

I'd have to find my dog's vet paperwork from right after I got her home, and checking for worms was one of the things the vet did, since she was worm free at 8 weeks old. I can look for it, though I can't 100% guarantee finding it, as that was a few years back and we've moved a few times since I got her.
