Dead 4 day old, light brown foamy poo in brooder

I am pretty sure he was eating and drinking. They all seemed to scratch and peck about at the same time, but it wouldn't be hard to think he was eating when he wasn't.

It is also possible that he just wasn't meant to be. I think (though I am not sure) that this was a chick that I hatched out. He was PACKED into his little shell and couldn't zip. They all just seemed to be doing so well and then BOOM ... he dies. I hate that about chicks and chickens.

Cocci did cross my mind ... especially since they so often seem sleepy, but they are so active between sleepy spells that I just chalked it up to them being babies.

And my brooder is very clean. I am using paper towels at the moment and they are changed morning and night. Their water is changed at least every morning, I also change it in the evening if they have dirtied it. The only cocci med I have access to locally in corid (and I had a devil of a time finding that).

We just bought eggs today (yes ... bought ... I've been sticking all our home grown eggs in the bator

... I am an addict) and could boil an egg for them if that's a good idea. I'm just not 100% sure I want to introduce anything new right now unless I was sure it would help them. The rest seem to be doing pretty well (as long as the sleepy spells are normal baby stuff).

Arsenic? I know commercial places use that, but I've never heard of a backyard flock needing Roxarsone (Ren-o-Sal). Since that can cause cancer in humans, I'm not sure that's a good thing.
What is LS-200? More chemicals cannot be better, IMO.
