dealing with a FOX.. erghhh

Electrified poultry netting, or multiple strands of hot wire or rope, will keep out ground predators. Otherwise, a solid coop and safe run. Or kill your current fox invaders, and be prepared to act to protect your flock next time at the first evidence of a problem.
The chickens are defenceless! Mary
I have a 4 foot chain link perimeter fence with an additional foot buried underground around my secure chicken coop with attached run with 1/2x1/2 inch hardware clothe and a Nite Guard on my coop. I should be fox proof right? Should I bury 1/2x1/2 inch hardware clothe around the coop and run?

To be honest we don’t have a lot of predator proofing in our covered run except for the wire being covered by rocks on the bottom, we have very few foxes, some hawks, and a pack of coyotes that lives in our and surrounding neighborhoods. There has also been some fisher cat sitings around us. There are plenty of places for predators to get in, but they are deterred by the very rocky and rooted ground and wire. Weasel and fisher cats are the only things that could get in easily

I know that there is one fox in my town. We have a breeding pair of red tail hawks in town. But the crows keep them away from my yard :). I haven’t seen raccoons in a long time or opossums and the skunk family that used to live under my garage was evicted years ago. I just but pavers by any gaps between the wood frame of the run and the dirt. But it’s generally even.
