Dear Eggland's Best: THAT's your BEST? Gimme a break!

Store bought eggs are.......well, a lot of non-plus things.....but I think anemic describes them well.

LOL

Egg-Land's Best is actually the brand I buy right now while I'm "between" chickens. I buy them because they are one of the few brands in the supermarket that are laid by "cageless" hens. They may be a little more expensive than the regular store brand, but at least my conscience feels okay that I am doing something good for chickens somewhere.

Lee provided the link for part 1 of this video in an earlier thread, here is part 2. Very informative. Now I wonder if the "hand gathered" store bought eggs I prefer to buy from "cage free", "free roaming nesting hens" are really from hens kept in such conditions.

Thanx, I didn't know there was a Part 2. So many good informative videos on youtube!

YES, that means a person would have to GET ducks. My wife should see the logic in this.

I skipped getting chickens and went right to ducks

And look at the size of these eggs! (The little one is a large chicken egg)

LOL Just teasing. We had a nice little flock of Muscovey's back in the late 80's. Where we lived there was a small pond. I loved 'em! But, now all I can have is chickens. She says I can have as many as I want, but no more ducks. SHUCKS!
