Got the new Brinsea 56EX set up and running. I just happened to have 22 of my fancies eggs to put in it. Due 4/12.

I have 9 in the right one lying on a mat in lockdown. Due 3/25.

In addition to the 22 set today, I have 20 out of 23 left in there that were set for the Easter Hatch Along. They had been in the NR360. Those are due 3/30.

I'm so glad to not have to mess with humidity anymore! I'll hang on to the NR360 for a few months to see if I can get along without it. I should be able to keep one for incubating and one for lockdown/hatching.

Debbie do you ever have any that are at that stage where you just want to toss them in the tub and give them a bath so you can figure out what color they really are? They just look like they have been playing in the dirt for a week. I've got one or two like that now.

Nope. Mine are always nice and clean. I use horse bedding pellets and these now are too little to go outside. The ones that are outside same age as yours have nowhere to get dirty as the dirt, when not covered in snow, is frozen.

I do however have two macaw parrots that haven't had a shower or bath in over a month that need one.

The 9 that were due today started hatching sometime around 3:30 a.m.



Just a bit ago I got another shot. I count 8. Not sure if the 9th egg is going to hatch or not but I'll candle it later when I go to pull these ones out. They are all sold, sight unseen, but the lady saw Tink's and asked if mine would look like that. I assured her they would, so she claimed whatever hatches in this batch.



This was a test to see how a Blink camera we had out in the woods would work for inside the incubator. Pretty good IMO!! Now I'll try find another one of those cameras on sale as I need to put this one back.

That camera sure did a great job of letting us see inside the incubator! Congrats on the hatch and already having a home for the chicks.

It's one of these. I'm going to have to buy another now that I see they're on sale! Best Buy has them too.

Edit: We didn't need the sync module that's in that above link, so getting just the camera.

Thank you! It was already here working outside, but I just tried it out to see how it would do. We were surprised too how sharp the pictures are!
